摩天楼オペラ 「Gloria」 / Matenrou Opera

摩天楼オペラ have very recently come out with a new single called Gloria. I will be purchasing this single along with a couple others and I shall be doing a review on this CD once it has come. (In this way I'm able to listen to the songs from the CD instead of already have listened to them from Youtube. I will give a quick review of the title song since I have listened to it and have fallen in love with the song and video that goes with it.

Therefore, let the review of Gloria begin!

How are you doing?

Nightmare is a really cool band. I'm sure some of you have heard that their drummer isn't really the best so they make up for it with sick guitar and base riffs and freaking awesome vocals, but he isn't too bad. Anyways, just wanted to say that.

Now to introduce you to the single Sleeper.

Sooooooo I've got great news that is old, but lets me introduce a new(ish) band that has an ear for music, and yes it does help that the vocalist is from another band that I absolutely adored!

DaizyStripper 「Zero Crysis」

This, is a FREAKING AWESOME SONG!!!!!!
The beats, lyrics, and overall song is a delight for all fans.
Some of the English words that I catch include 'plastic' and of course 'zero' and 'crisis', and they would have to have a very powerful meaning behind them in this song for 夕霧 (Yuugiri) to say them in English.
夕霧 looks quite intense and serious in this video. His manner, and really the manner of DaizyStripper themselves, gives even more importance to the lyrics...

ダウト Single 「あいするひと」 / D=OUT

ダウト recently released the single あいするひと。 Well was I ever surprised when this single came with two PV's!

愛狂います 「ケセラ:セラ」 / Aicle 「Que Sera:Sera」

Hey guys!! I know that Aicle has disbanded a while ago... (I still hate that knowledge and get really sad about it) but this song is one of my very favorites from them. The video is entertaining and the esthetics of the band is lovable and really edgy to me.

Versailles new single 「Rose」 Update

Versailles New Single 「Rose」

Not very many details yet at all...
Usually I wait until there are more details, but Versailles has also changed their look! And it's really neat.
This single will be released after their digital single's release on April 25th. The digital single is titled 「Rhapsody of the Darkness / Illusion」.

Random Blogging

Hey so I know that I never do this... But I decided to do this as an every now and then thing.
Therefore, I have taken this opportunity to give a humungous apology to whomever does read this blog on a regular basis since I took a big hiatsu without saying anything.
I honestly didn't think that I would have to take as great of a hiatsu as I ended up taking... but more importantly, I took the time to write responses to comments as they came up, but never gave an explanation as to the huge activity pause with no sign of return. My actions were badly done and there are many ways that I could've done something differently.
I did often say to myself that I would be able to write another song review but it never happened, and I did feel bad for being able to write quick comment responses but never took the time to write up a quick blog explaining my recent schooling life.
So, I am really, terribly, sorry and totally deserve any negativity from readers.

There is probably no point in giving the details since it's in the past now, but I hope to always do a quick random blog just explaining my life at this point so that any reader will be able to understand the amount of stuff happening at that point.

So now...
During my time at University I went from just dressing slightly differently to adding unnatural colors to my hair. Right now I have blue, green, purple, and a blood red on the front of my hair, while the back is still a blond color with some bleeding from the red.
Like I mentioned before, University finished for me so now I am looking for work and dealing with some government issues that have sprung up about my loans. Grrrr the government can be good, but ONLY if they can actually do their job!!
So yeah, I need to find a lob and then work for 4 months until I go back to university for my second year. Also while on my break, I shall be making a bunch of clothing and other accessories for me to wear at any type of function. I've already made a changeable-pendant necklace with my sister and crocheted myself some arm warmer glove things. I'm hoping to make some kind of neckerchief a couple skirts, spice up some old pants and shirts, and maybe make some tops as well.
 Included in all of this is starting up my Japanese learning again and also learning more Polish. As well as writing some kind of blog here, whether it is just another random update on my life or an actual review will be the question. I'm hoping to do one thing at least once a week. I wouldn't quote that though... just in case I get extremely busy all of a sudden again!!

But one thing I will promise, is that if I ever end up going on hiatsu again, I will post a blog saying so andalso giving a 'ball-park' time for when I would be able to start up again. I really don't want to leave anyone out in the cold when it comes to the status of my blog like I did do...

I really hope to continue blogging my own stuff randomly as well as keep reviewing songs and talk about new releases on a regular basis from now on. ^_^

DaizyStripper 「Brilliant Days」 (And I'm finally Back!!) ^_^

Before I go on to talk about a brilliant song by DaizyStripper I have a couple announcements/messages:

1) I have finally finished my first year of University and will be able to resume my blogging activities. YAY!

2) DaizyStripper is coming to Animethon in Edmonton, Alberta on August 10th - 12th! This will be their first time in Canada and I'm hoping to make it there. Is anyone else planning on going?

Now for the featured presentation:

DaizyStripper has some really, really, good songs. One song that shines above the rest in being unique would have to be "Brilliant Days" from their Single "Cross".

There is no PV for this song... but PV's just give us an image of what the band is using as an image right now. Sure it's nice to see, but it's the music that really counts. They are in the MUSIC genre! Therefore what should really count?
Their MUSIC!

Sure, when I started listening to Visual Kei I was always looking for PV's, but I started listening to songs without PV's and some of them were way better than the PV's that they were coupled with.

Anyways, getting back to Brilliant Days...
It is wonderfully unique in it's own way. I especially like how it is more on the slow side of their songs, but still has a catchy beat to it. Does anyone else get what I mean?

I myself am quite sad about this since I really wanted to purchase this song very much!

GazettE 「千鶴」 / 「Chidzuru」

This is a really touching song by The GazettE back in their indies days if i'm not mistaken...
I really like this song, it doesn't have a single of its own. So it's part of an album. This song was used for the end credits of a Korean film called [Apartment] (?). Something like that anyways. That film seems really wacked, almost as weird but maybe scary as the English horror movie called [Quarantine] I think. The one where the women reporter and her camera crew are doing some sort of interview with firefighters. Suddenly they get called to this apartment building because of something and they find that it is a disease. First the dog of this one family starts attacking them, then the girl that owned the dog starts doing the same. Soon everybody that was attacked, but lived, all ended up going psychotic and all of that good horror movie stuff.
ANYWAYS!!!! (Waaaaay to easy to get off topic some days!)

So yeah, Chidzuru is slow, but it has A LOT of feeling to it, even without understanding the lyrics. GazettE really does do a good job of getting emotion through all their songs. I like the 'original' version of the PV better. (I call it 'original' because TECHNICALLY it came out after the PV with clips from the movie...).

Like i've said before, both PVs are pretty good... but the original one is better in my opinion. Anyways, support Gazette, they have been on the VK scene for a very long time. And I feel that they have just gotten better with age, maturity, and still keep a sense of their roots long after their first major single.

UPDATE 摩天楼オペラ 「Justice」 / Matenrou Opera

King Record has uploaded the PV for Matenrou Opera's newest album Justice on their Youtube Channel!! It's actually quite simple, with good SFX. I like the video but the song itself is quite good. I have to say that the whole atmosphere created by both the song and PV is quite interesting but good. It sends a powerful message without even knowing the lyrics. Therefore, the lyrics would make it even more amazing... I must find them once they are available.

It's been almost a year, but finally Dolly is releasing a new single on March 25th. The last single that I was able to find on youtube was ムーンライトディスコ(Moonlight Disco) It isn't a bad song... not as good as some of their earlier stuff, but pretty nice to listen to still. Hopefully this new CD is more like their old stuff. The single will come in two types:

Gackt 「Until the Last Day」 NEW RELEASE!!

Gackt is going to release his latest single on February 22! I can't wait to hear how this one turns out. His past songs have been pretty good, so I hope he's able to keep up the good work! An added bonus is that 「Until the Last Day」 is also the main theme of the theatrical anime titled "Dragon Age - Blood Mage no Seisen" so it should have some real power behind it.

Well they have an album coming out on March 7th!! Can't wait for it, even if I don't have the mula to buy it. :(
Anyways, they changed their look, but it doesn't look as if this album comes in more than one form. It is kind of disappointing that there isn't a DVD with this album. Oh well!! Perhaps they are planning a new single as well! That would be totally awesome!!!!!

GazettE 「紅蓮」 / 「Guren」

A really, really, touching song by the GazettE. The lyrics are beautifully put together, and the music sets the lyrics up for a great song. The only disappointment for me was that Ruki's whispering was hard to hear.
Thankfully, that is mostly taken care of in their revised version.
The music video is mildly disturbing, but works with the lyrical part. The actual video is quite simple but does get the point across. There's some really good fan-service in the vid... particularly when everybody seems to want to be the Microphone that Ruki fawns all over and ends up licking throughout the vid.

愛狂います 「愛狂います2006－2012」 / Aicle 「Aicle 2006-2012」 Last Release

As of February 22 Aicle will be disbanded. This sad news was released to fans via their home page in January.
Their last single was Koutei Penguin.

In commemoration of their time spent together, Aicle is releasing a "best of" CD with all of their greatest hits from 2006 to 2012. It will be released on February 22 and I really wish I had the money to get it...
Honestly, I might just live without what ever the $100 would've gotten me if I hadn't bought the CD. They are just a really good band and I absolutely love most of their songs. I didn't think I'd be so emotional about it but, seriously... their music is just honestly way too good to be without it. :'(

The text in dark red bold on the B edition are the 4 songs not available on the A edition.
As far as I could tell, looking at their discography, the only songs not on this "best of" collections would be their latest hits so all the first-release songs on Akuru and their last single Koutei Penguin are not included.
I do find this saddening since Hirari is another one of their later songs that I like, but i can see why since they haven't been around as long as their earlier songs have. (No DUHHH)

A quick message. Phantasmagoria 「幻想曲~Eternal Silence~」 / 「Gensoukyoku ~Eternal Silence~」

A message to my readers:
Hey guys!
So I did say that  I was going to do more reviews, I just wasn't sure when they'd be able to go up right?
Well, I was able to get this one up today, obviously, and I'm going to try to get another one up tomorrow... but don't count on it.
I'm going to try to do at least one every two days or so. If I can do more, the EVEN BETTER!!!!
If not, then I'm sorry, but my studies do have to come first...

And now for the review:

This has to be my most favorite slow song from Phantasmagoria!! The whole concept that this song portrays is just beautiful! Riku's voice manages to to be soft, yet strong, and the lyrics are very meaningful. The instruments compliment Riku's voice very well, loud when they need to be, but not overwhelmingly so that Riku's voice gets lost in them.

Riku's English is a  little hard to understand...
I thought he was saying something like "I will shatter" when it really was "I wish heaven"
and I had no clue what he was saying in the end.

Until I found the lyrics and found out he's saying "I will look at flower" and keeps repeating "flower".
But this song is too good to complain about those things.
Now I do know what he's saying in English... it just has a slightly heavier accent since , obviously, English isn't his native language. ：Ｐ


The video itself is also fitting to the song, and the band's visual effect is really, really, good looking.

Unfortunately, Phantasmagoria is no longer a band. Even so, the bass Kisaki and the Vocalist Riku have collaborated into another band called 凛~the end of corruption world~　or just 凛. They are a really good band, and some of their songs do sound similar to what Phantasmagoria's songs did. I suppose it does make sense since Kisaski and Riku are both in the band, but it also shows that they, or at least one of them, are/were the lyrical and instrumental composers of the music.It's nice in a way because Phantasmagoria music lives inside 凛 now. So it hasn't died!! ：Ｄ

Unfortunately, it seems that you are not able to get this song anymore... unless it is available on i-tunes or something of the similar sort.... ：（

Sorry for not blogging for a bit...
i'll get some reviews up soon.
I'm taking 6 classes right now and it's mostly reading, so I need to catch up on reading and I am making reviews... Just need to get them finished. Don't want to be really lazy just because I don't have time. ：Ｐ

Not many details have been posted yet... but v[Neu] is releasing a new album titled 「Restless」 on March 14th.

Hero 「ピリオド」 / 「Piriod」

This is an old one from Hero... but it's the first song that I heard from them... and it's a  really good song aswell. Obviously I think so if I'm writing about it XD)
ANYWAYS!!!
This is a really good song and I love how calm Jin's 「尽」 voice can be one minute and then change to the total opposite in the next! Esp. in this song.
There is also soo much feeling in it. Like it sounds as if this song is a really deep song.

There are two CDs left that includes this song on them. Both are the Regular Editions since the Limited ones have been sold out!

「Life」 Seems to be an album on their HP with 10 songs in their regular version.

Royz 「Area」

This is the first song that I heard from them and I liked it.
The beats are good. the rapping in the middle fits and the vocal's talents are well played in this song.
The range that Subaru's vocal has is just amazing!
The music compliments his singing and yet his singing isn't overpowering them either. This song is a good balance between vocals and instruments. It isn't easy to find something as close as this.

Their single is sold out... but they do have a re-arrangement of 「Area」 in their 1st Full Album.

The rearrangement is very similar to the original. There are just a little differences here and there that make a big difference and I actually like the new one more than the old because of those changes. The biggest change, and what made me like this version better, would be the rapping part. It is clearer and thus easier to understand.

All in all, this song is really great!

Support the BANDS!!!! They might not be disbanding as much if people actually bought their music instead of just ripping it from the internet!!! Grrrrr!

I have to say that this song is the best one. Nimo's English is excellent! The way his voice can be gentle, yet strong, and vibrates. Honestly, the whole band is very good. Rookie Fiddler really has one of the best parts... It makes the band sooo unique!!

here... there's no PV but it's still really, really, powerful.

It is a really, really, good song...

A - エース 3rd Single Release!!!

A - エース is finally going to do a new release! Last year they came out with their Album entitled "Black and White" but haven't done anything else since...
But now they are!!!!
It'll be available on March 14th!!

It's an old song from them,... but it's a really nice one. :)
I like it a lot. :-D

The PV is really cool and the song itself has a good beat and the lyrical melody is quite nice. I just really, really, like them. :-P

The little review I did isn't enough now! ]:)
I totally fell in love with it!!!
It's a really, really, good song with a good beat and lyrical rhythm. You've got to listen to it!
When I do get the money... i'll deff get the edition of 落とし穴の底はこんな世界 with this song on it (and the PV comes with this one aswell!!)
Honestly, I can't say anymore if I don't want to repeat myself more than I already have... XD

V-Last 「中毒性ガタnoise」 / 「Chuudokusei Gutter Noise」

This is the only song that i have found from V-Last where Shyena's voice fits perfectly with the music. Honestly, I think Shyena is just better placed as a heavy metal singer. That way his voice compliments the music and gives it a whole new dimension. In other songs that I have listened to, his voice is too weak to have a major role in songs.That`s what I`ve found anyways...

So, the song is full of heavy metal and the lyrics is mostly rapping, but Shyena also sings, so it's not bad at all.
I find the PV really cool...
Shyena really does look good in the light blue color. I'm not sure why he decided to bleach it blond in the first place...
Oh well... the shots of the whole band and each band member are put together very well. Even though it's basically clips of the band members doing their stuff...

All in all, it is good. It couldn't get much better. But there's always room for improvement. ：Ｐ

ナイトメア 「Mimic」 / Nightmare NEW RELEASE!

彩冷える 「会いたくて」 / Ayabie 「Aitakute」

This is the first song that I found from Ayabie. The second being 君の声と約束. I really like this band and was sad to find out that they disbanded, like a bit ago. *sniff *sniff

But then I really missed when 涼平 (Ryohei) was in the band. All their songs seemed darker while he was one of the guitarists...

The song has a good beat and the lyrics stick in you mind.
The PV, on the other hand, is okay. It's toned down, and there doesn't seem to be much in it. But it still fits well with the song. Not bad for a first major debut!

葵 (Aoi) and 涼平 have come together again!! After Ryohei left Ayabie he went on to make his own band Megamasso (see their latest single and a review of MofBeauty here). Aoi went on as a soloist and has released a few singles and at least one album. Now the two have paired up again and created a single called Monochrome. They are also releasing a full album in February. (I will post news about it soon!)

少女‐ロリヰタ‐23区 「Hikari」 / Lolita 23q

First song I heard form them. The best out of what I can tell with the new vocalist. But then.. there isn't much yet so I can't be THAT biased.
The song itself is quite good. It has a slightly slower tempo than what I'd think to use with this type of song, but it does fit.
I find the MV hilarious!!
In a good way of course,,, lol

The headbobbing really, really, cracks me up! I can't stop the smile when i see it!! ;)

So overall a really enjoyable song and fun PV to go with it. ：Ｄ

GazettE 「体温」 / 「Taion」

This is a really heartfelt song that has a unique beat to it.
It is dedicated to a Japanese girl by the name of Junko Furuta, who was tortured for 44 days before dying of her injuries and then put into a barrel with concrete poured over her body, and left out in plain view as if it belongs there...
Sickening really.    ;(

Ruki was only 6yrs old when this happened... but it was such a shock to the whole world and even more so to Japan. So he dedicated this song to her.
体温　means "temperature" and the song is full of English; it was most likely done so that everyone would know what the song is about.

I really am speechless about what Junko had to go through...
There is no reason why she should've been tortured at all, but deff not to the extent that she was.

Anyways... here's the song itself in all it's mournful beauty.

Even when listening to this song I want to cry... but the beat makes it hard to. Yet it's not obstructive. This really is a weird song... but so beautifully done that you can't stop listening to it.

This is the only CD that I could find that has this song on it... and it's an album so it has 12 songs on it and this one is the 12th...

I think i-tunes also has this song tho...

DaizyStripper 「Under the Sun」

Okay, Okay... I know that I've already mentioned this song....
But it's just sooo dam good!!!
It's stuck in my head and the rapping that goes along with it just totally fits and adds to the awesomeness of it!
Honestly, DaizyStripper has a real winner with this one. :D
Yuugiri 「夕霧」has such amazing vocal talents, it's almost unbelievable! Everything that I have heard him sing he is really good at singing it! If I don't like a song... it's not because of his voice. The tempo might just not "click" with me or how his voice combines with the melody of the instruments might be off. But his voice can go any tempo. It's really, really, good to listen to.
I suppose in a way it's like those "eargasms" that people on youtube claim to have when listening to certain songs.
The only difference is that it's not an eargasm for me. But it's really, really, easy to listen to and I could listen to him sing for hours without getting bored of it!!!

Anyways... Here's the vid again so you can all listen to this spectacular "get inside ur head and never get out" song!!!!

ダウト 「全身全霊LIVES」 / D=OUT 「Zenshin Zenrei Lives」

Well... this PV is soo much better than I thought it would be. :)
Even the English is pretty good. Although...
"Answer is Lives" I think is supposed to be something like "the answer lives" since having "lives" be the "answer" isn't an impression that I get when listening to this song.
Just saying.... ：Ｐ

So the PV is good. Not quite digging Reita's hair in this one, it just doesn't suit him very well for me. Like it looks okay on him... but not as good as it looks on Sono 「苑」 in Matenrou Opera 「摩天楼オペラ」. (take a look at his hair on their latest PV 「落とし穴の底はこんな世界」　Otoshiana no Soko ha Konna Sekai here!) So I like the PV, the song itself is not that different from their Indies songs but still has a different tone than what ダウト had in their Indies days.

Well that's the end of the review, sadly. Overall... I'm not quite sure. Like the two songs on both editions are good, the PV is better than some of the newer ones that they've been putting out there. But I can't for sure say that I'd buy the regular edition over one of the limited ones because I'm not sure what the 3rd song is like!!!!
Even so I would rather get the regular edition, just because it's more songs and i'd rather listen to the songs than watch the PV's (less distracting while studying or doing homework!!) lol ：Ｐ

Sorry for the day skip... was busy all day and had to get up early cuz  uni decided to start today... ：Ｐ

Well... ダウト has done it again... they went major with their single 「One」 and it is a pretty good song. Just slower and not as hyped up as the songs before they went major. Even their slow songs were better back in their Indies days than they are now... but OH WELL.
This is the way they are now and they probably won't change back... :'(

VIVID New Release 「Message」

Well VIVID fans, including myself... should be getting excited!!
Their newest Single is going to be released on January 11th!!!!
Message's cm shows the group to have a slightly more mellow tone than other past songs. But they do mellow very well. I can't wait for this single to come out! And for me to have the money to buy it. XD

Megamasso New Release!! / メガマソ 「M of Beauty」 Review

Sooooo, I've been neglecting other bands for a bit and I really shouldn't be... but it is hard when you majorly listen to 26 some-odd bands... XD

Anyways. I wanted to tell you about メガマソ　(literally pronounced "Megamaso" but commonly pronounced "Megamasso"). They are a really good band, and their lead/ guitarist is none other than the very talented ex 彩冷える-Ayabie member 涼平　(Ryouhei)!!! Have to say that the band drastically changed when he left it... but the sound was brought up again in Megamasso.

dammmm.... can't say anyways too many time. >:(
Therefore I have to show you guys one of my favorite song from this incredibly amazing band!!

M of Beauty is a really, really, nice sort of mellow tone to it. The melodic piano most noticeable in the introduction and the ending, but also heard throughout the whole song, reminds me of an 80's song I once heard... can never remember what it is though.
Sigh... it sucks... but I really feel like I know that part from a diff song.
